OMG what I would’ve done if I had known this when I was 34 . I’m 51 now and I only have to shave like once every two weeks now so overall I think I’ve aged good in that area . Now in other areas (menopause) not so much !

Two weeks on adapalene is still a bit early. The general rule of thumb is to let one new active prove it’s well-tolerated for at least a month before adding the next one — if you add Skinoren now and irritation shows up later, you won’t be able to tell whether it’s the adapalene or the azelaic acid causing it. No major issues so far is a good sign, but I’d still give it at least 4 more weeks, and when you do introduce it, start with 2-3x a week rather than daily. Adapalene already increases sun sensitivity, and adding azelaic acid on top means you’ll want to be extra diligent with sunscreen too.

This! Two weeks is not enough time for your skin to adapt to Adapelene, it’s still adjusting. Don’t add another exfoliating product and damage your skin barrier where you’ll have to stop everything and start again.

Note that I’ve only been using two weeks but the olay one (purple bottle) works for me and it’s not prohibitively expensive

Definitely don’t go all in with all the products to begin. I usually give a new product two weeks before I introduce another one. If you go all in, and you have a reaction, you won’t know which product gave you the reaction in the first place
