   Tarte makes a lip “mask” called Awake that I’ve only ever been able to find on their website, never in person. That thing lasts for hours on me, and it’s very thick and emollient. I think it’s meant to be used overnight but I use it all the time. I buy it in multiples because I’m scared they’ll discontinue it & it’s the best I’ve ever found by far for super dry lips.

   [Product Question] - Horace? - Hi, I’m an under 30’s guy who’s just looking to properly commit to skincare. I know the general basics of skincare. I’ve been looking at Horace products as I quite like the brand but not sure if I’m just being a sucker for marketing.. They have 2 products: Bio-Retinol + Argireline® Peptide Serum - Their website suggests this is still effective but with less side effects than normal retinol (such as sensitivity to sun light etc) I asked them through their customer support who said they cannot provide a % strength as it’s different to normal retinol so shouldn’t be compared that way. Its quite pricey compared to e.g. The Ordinary’s retinol but is that just for brand I’m paying extra for? Same again with their “Vitamin C + Glycolic Acid Serum” - reading online its only 1% strength whereas the Garnier one is 4% and is a fraction of the price.. Am I getting too held up on percentages or is it truly the combination of ingredients that makes it worth the price?

   You're being too harsh on your skin. Seriously. I had acne for DECADES and was so pissed when I finally found what worked. Pissed about the derms that took my money and made it worse, pissed about all the "acne clearing products" that actually contain acne-causing ingredients, pissed about the crazy and dangerous shit I tried to clear up my skin (lasers, supplements). It's honest to God this: -Vanicream gentle face wash and moisturizer (cheap) -Buy a giant bottle of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide from Acne.org (cheap) Morning: Vanicream wash, apply generous amount BP, apply Vanicream moisturizer mixed 50/50 with non-comedogenic sunscreen (every! single! Day!) Night: Vanicream wash, apply generous amount BP, Vanicream moisturizer. Stop eating peanut butter. It's the #1 most acnegenic food. Start taking a good fish oil supplement daily and Vitamin D3 + K2 supplement (it's one combo) Find a website where you can input a specific product and see it's acne causing ingredients. A TON of make up products that claim to be non-comedogenic aren't. You have to MAKE SURE you aren't doing great skin care then undoing it all with the makeup you're using. That's it. I spent obscene amounts of money on derms, acne specialists, estetichians, etc...and THIS IS IT. It's disappointing that it's not complicated, expensive, or name brand, because we've been so brainwashed to believe that it's some magical secret.

   Anyone learning about skincare learns about this. It's obvious. You don't need to literally consult a dermatologist in person. You are asking for more if you recommend what you do. I bet you that most dermatologists would go with my 4 products than what you are saying. There is no way that you aren't acquainted with this if you know about skincare. You can find this online in websites, on YouTube, asking an AI or asking around about it. Don't be obtuse.
