   publishing individually now and moving it later is fine mechanically, both stores have an app transfer flow and installs and reviews carry over. the thing that bites is that a personal play account shows your name and a physical address publicly on the listing, and apple shows your legal name as the seller. theres no privacy toggle for that on an individual account. the usual workaround is a registered office or mail forwarding address so at least its not your flat, but the name is stuck. if keeping your name off it actually matters to you, thats the argument for incorporating before launch rather than after.

   the play console org account is the bit worth planning around, not the incorporation itself. it needs a duns number and that takes a couple of weeks to come through, so start that request the day you incorporate or youll have a company and still nowhere to publish from. org accounts are also exempt from the 14 day closed test, which sounds like your real motivation. apple is the same shape, an individual account puts your legal name on the listing and the org route wants the duns too. on jurisdiction, if you and your users are both in india then incorporating elsewhere to dodge compliance is a bad trade. you spend it back getting the money home. a boring pvt ltd with a ca doing the filings is the path most people end up on.

   Should I incorporate my company or publish under my own name for a mobile app? Where should I incorporate? (I will not promote) - I’m a solo developer planning to launch my app on the Apple and Android App Store within a few weeks. I’ve validated the idea, so expecting users from week 1. I don’t want to publish the app in my own name and don’t want my actual address/phone number being publicised, but instead a company one. I also would prefer not having to go through the 14 day testing phase on the Google Play Store. From my understanding, I can only do this if I have incorporated a company. From a legal perspective too, I’ve heard it’s easier to incorporate earlier instead of later once the app is launched, since otherwise I’d have to transfer ownership later. Based on my research, it appears incorporating a private company is a possible option. The process feels super complex though, and then there are a bunch of compliance requirements to account for every year. I also don’t like that a lot of my personal details are available online once I incorporate. Does anyone have any recommendations for what I can do? Has someone been in a similar scenario before and found the best possible path - incorporation v. publishing in their own name? Any countries that people recommend incorporating in? (My users will mostly be from India, and I’m based in India, but I’m open to incorporating in another jurisdiction if it has favourable tax and compliance requirements, and is easier to incorporate in)

   Yeah, that’s kind of what I’m leaning toward. The only thing I’m still debating is whether I should build it as a website first. Right now I was planning on making it an iPhone app, but that means paying for the Apple Developer Program before I can even get people testing it. Do you think it’d be smarter to build a web version first to validate the idea and then turn it into an app later?
