   “Not knowing what's happening on the floor at times when away.” Cause of not knowing is “times when away” and not what is happening on floor. “…guests waiting...” for staff to seat them, take their order, deliver their food, submit a bill, and accept payment Cause is often employees who are not serving with the heart of a servant. Bottlenecks can be minimized with employees who move with a sense of urgency. “Inability to optimize service…” Cause is often inability to follow SOP’s and industry best practices rather than lack of statistical data. I’ve worked with small business owners for over 25 years. I never had to tell an owner how to run their operations unless they specifically asked. Quite frankly, the folks that really need help the most won’t ask for it or pay for it.

   The statistics that we would provide, would be able to derive what are the drivers that led to not having enough customers to serve. If waiting times or bad service is something that's repeating, that's what makes the guest never come back. The problem is, most of the places get to know that something is wrong or has been wrong for a long time - after the guest complained on Google. And then, it's already too late. Having something like this to monitor the floor every millisecond throughout the shift and alert the ones that should know on-time, is in MY personal opinion a big edge. Not to mention how much data and patterns would be gathered about how the restaurant functions, after a year of having it implemented. How does this sound?

   Not knowing how much time I had to sit and wonder in the restaurant until someone noticed me is not a problem to you? The sole thing that led me to go into these kind of things is because I've spent more than 10 years on the floor myself, and heard optimization problems from many many owners. And in my experience, most are clueless. Unaware of what is causing the wait times, slow service, small turnovers on the tables, etc.

   The pain that we are looking to solve in hospitality, for an average owner is: 1. Not knowing what's happening on the floor at times when away. 2. How much time is spent in unrealized revenue, by having guests waiting and clogging the dining area.. (To pay for their check; for the waiter to greet them; for the products to arrive at their table, etc.) 3. Inability to optimize service, due to lack of statistical data (Why did we not manage to break the record today? What was wrong on the floor?. These questions are usually answered by the entire staff, and everyone has a different opinion - without any numbers or stats backing the story.)
