Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

**Startup Name / URL:** Eventist, **Location of Your Headquarters:** Kitchener, Ontario, Canada **Elevator Pitch:** ticketing that runs the whole event, not just the checkout. tickets and seat maps, plus multi stage schedules, festival maps, vendor booths, staff roles and QR check in from any phone. flat $0.75 USD per paid ticket instead of a percentage, through the organizer's own stripe or square account. we actually started as dance competition software, basically getting dancers from stage to stage at big comps. festivals saw it, liked it, and now festivals are most of who we serve. **What life cycle stage is your startup at?** Efficiency. paying customers since 2021, mostly festivals now, working on getting in front of more organizers **Your role?** founder **What goals are you trying to reach this month?** talking to festival and conference organizers who are planning their 2027 season and are sick of percentage fees **How could r/startups help?** honest feedback on the pricing page and positioning. and if you know someone running a festival, i'd love an intro **Discount for r/startups subscribers?** no discount, but the first 3 hours of 1 on 1 setup help are free

B2B sales ideas - I will not promote - We're a startup selling technical software into a conservative industry. The buyer pool is small (no more than a couple of thousand people in our first, home country), the price point is high, sales cycles are usually long, and buyers mostly stick with vendors they already know. Despite these challenges, we have received a lot of positive feedback for the significant value we can bring to our initial ICPs. We have one paying customer and are deciding where to spend limited time over the next couple of months. Our current bets are: A. Founder-led LinkedIn B. Booked meetings at industry conferences C. Warm introductions D. A small founding-customer program We're deliberately staying away from automated outbound and AI SDRs. Appreciate input from those who've been through this and willing to answer any of these: 1. What got you your first 5 to 10 customers? 2. What did you try that wasn't worth the time? 3. Did inbound (SEO, content, being cited by ChatGPT and similar) produce anything early, or only later? 4. If you ran a founding or early-adopter offer, did it speed things up, and what did you ask for in return? Not selling anything. Happy to share back what we learn.

Your plan of landing 4-5 clients and reinvesting is honestly how a lot of bootstrapped businesses start. I've built a small service business that way myself. For the first few customers, skip "marketing" and do direct outreach: talk to 20-30 people who have the problem, help a couple of them almost by hand, and ask for referrals. Once paying customers keep telling you the same thing, that becomes your pitch for everyone else.

ExpenseFlow: Headquartered in Ontario, Canada. If you drive a lot for work, like you're a contractor, a sales rep, do gig driving, whatever, you probably either forget to log half your trips or you're stuck doing it manually at the end of the day. ExpenseFlow just tracks the mileage automatically in the background and lets you snap a photo of a receipt the second you get it. By the time taxes roll around, you've already got a clean report instead of trying to reconstruct three months of driving from memory. We're in the validation stage: our MVP is built and live on iOS and Android, but we don't have any paying customers yet. I'm the founder. Our goals are to get our first real installs and users. We're running a small paid ad campaign, but traffic is landing on our website and not converting to app installs, so the main goal is trying to figure out where the funnel breaks and fix it. If anyone's willing to check us out and offer us some feedback, that would be much appreciated. No discount set up yet, but we might put one together once we have actual users to test pricing against.

The exact tipping point is when your team starts fixing state errors manually instead of shipping code. Moving fast is cheap when you are just hacking together a front-end and validating user intent. But the moment you have paying customers, sloppy shortcuts don't stay in the codebase. They bleed into operations. Suddenly your best engineers are spending 3 hours every morning manually patching broken webhook syncs, your support lead is manually cross-referencing Stripe with PostgreSQL, and customer onboarding requires a founder babysitting the database. If you move fast without clear schema validation and idempotent workflows, you aren't saving time. You are just borrowing hours from your future self at 40% interest.
