   They’re just speculating that it’s AI. There’s plenty of solopreneurs out there who are single person businesses, and have tons of contractors working for them. Depending on the business that you’re in you may be able to break 1 million in revenue very easily. The question is profitability.

   This lines up with how I've been thinking about it, loan only if backed by actual evidence, not hope, that's the discipline I'm trying to hold. One clarification though, the businesses are profitable, jobs turn real margin. The issue isn't profitability, it's volume, there just isn't enough work moving through yet to cover full personal overhead every month. Different problem than a business that's actually losing money.

   I think firstly you need to decide what you want. Do you still believe in the business? You want to continue working on it? If yes, find a way to do it without the investor. Reduce the costs so your not losing money or find investment somewhere else. Without knowing your business, you might need to go extreme to get it to profitability. Maybe focus on that with the remaining cash, make it last as long as possible to get the work done (automation etc). If no, it's a bit complicated. You could try and shop around. Get more money maybe. The money you're offered might be less than what you expected, but it's something. Remember you could lose everything whatever you decide. No one give you the answer, only possible directions.
