   >The pain that we are looking to solve in hospitality, for an average owner is \[…\] A pain is in this context something that they experience, something that they are aware of as a pain already. **Not** something that you've made up as possible improvements. When was the last time you heard an average restaurant owner talk about experiencing the pain of not having enough cameras pointing at their guests to get statistical data to optimize their service?! It simply isn't on their minds, it simply isn't a problem/pain that they have, it's not even something that they'd know how to use, and all that makes it not something that they're going to throw money at just because some person sat at their restaurant as guests and made up that instead of them flagging down staff the restaurant should go all high tech and produce lots of data. Solve an experience pain, that they know is costing them money, if you want to connect with them and make a sale.

   Run a pilot. Get three restaurants to use the product for free and then ask them what it’s worth. That will answer all your questions.

   I read the first sentence and I felt it in my gut. Are restaurant owners trying to get visibility into the dining room? They are not and that is why you’re getting that answer. Could they? I dunno maybe. Would it be better? Useful? Again maybe. But it’s not a pain they feel today so they won’t buy your product. You either need them to feel the pain, or move to a product that addresses pain they feel. The hard path is getting them to feel pain. Get a restaurant who believes in you to use whatever it is and save a pile of money or make a pile more. Write it as a use case and educate your prospects on what they are missing out on. But let’s be real, you don’t know that this will even do that yet because you’re pre-MVP. So the better path is to look at what they’re trying to fix today already, unsuccessfully. Then build around that,

   Make a list of the various pain points a restaurant owner faces - everything from hiring, to training, to accounting, to staff scheduling, to ordering supplies, etc., including floor staffing optimization for maximum profit and customer satisfaction. Don't sell your idea, just list the problem you are solving along with their other pain points. Have the owners score each point with their pain and frustration level on a seven point scale. Then have them score each item for how much it impacts their business. Now you have a heat map of what they do and don't care about. If they only give floor optimization a 3 or 4 level of pain and a 1 or 2 for impact, you don't have an opportunity.

   The statistics that we would provide, would be able to derive what are the drivers that led to not having enough customers to serve. If waiting times or bad service is something that's repeating, that's what makes the guest never come back. The problem is, most of the places get to know that something is wrong or has been wrong for a long time - after the guest complained on Google. And then, it's already too late. Having something like this to monitor the floor every millisecond throughout the shift and alert the ones that should know on-time, is in MY personal opinion a big edge. Not to mention how much data and patterns would be gathered about how the restaurant functions, after a year of having it implemented. How does this sound?
