Favorite startup podcast? *I will not promote - I’m challenging myself to listen to a podcast at the gym instead of just listening to music for an hour each day. Looking for some good podcast recommendations around startups, VC, AI, or other business strategies. I’ll go first. I really like Startups for the Rest of Us and Revenue Builders.

No, they absolutely expect a return. They also understand the high risk involved and diversify their investments. VCs are not in the business of giving money away. Neither are banks, nor any other investor. Any money taken should be done with the expectation to be returned with gains. If a VC doesn’t buy the pitch or the founders ability to execute, then they won’t deploy capital. The fact they invest in many moonshots doesn’t mean they don’t do so with the intent of seeing a return.

No front. I didn’t even read the post. But if you meat a VC (esp. bay area) he was in shrooms/columbian dust 100% sure. That’s just how it is💀 no one successful is normal
