Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

All these people being critics, while yes his art wasn't perfect that is what you'd expect of someone who was self-taught and wasn't properly educated on the subject. He sought that education and was turned down at a time where he had already sacrificed so much to make it happen (notably his father wanted him to follow his career choice and offered him a cozy position he declined). Even if he had been accepted I would find it hard to believe he wouldn't serve as many even in schooling chose to leave and fight. Probably the biggest influence would be acquiring more painting skills and networking in more liberal/socialist groups that dominated the field of art at the time, maybe more closely aligning to Mussolini in that regard.

Hitler famously refused to make provocative art, claiming art only exists to soothe people, which massively influenced some of his designs and architecture in Nazi Germany, as well as the plans for Germania. Italian Fascist and Nazi architecture is actually a really interesting topic if you can find info about it

I understood that. Doesn't change my perception as "looks like shit" is what I was addressing. I don't know know art well, but I know other things in some depth such that I could identify at what "level" someone was. I wouldn't just disregard say 6/10 work as "shit" for something that requires enormous mastery/talent to go higher. Wildly enough I'm here defending Hitler but well it's more the principle of it.

To be attracted to people that are "better" than you in some way. Redpillers/blackpillers and whatnot use that to say women are shallow and are only going to date "the best guys" (as a way to find an excuse for their absolute lack of self-awareness...). I indirectly have something like that. I am a dude, and often people treat me as the smartest guy in the room. Though that's fun and all, it's quite tiresome to keep trying not to fail people's expectations of me. So I feel very comfortable when I am around a person that is necessarily MUCH smarter than I am, for 3 reasons: 1 - Because I am able to simply chill the f\*ck down and just enjoy something I don't understand. 2 - Because I get bored of things immediately, and smart people always have something fun and different to contribute. 3 - Sometimes I like going on about stuff I am deeply interested in (programming, art, history, philosophy, math, politics, music), and it's extremely refreshing being understood and not dismissed like am a lunatic when I try to voice something I have been thinking a lot about recently. That's called sapiosexuality. But that forms something veeeerryy close to hypergamy... Because the people I usually date are: 1. older than I am, 2. often work in my industry (so they can understand the stuff i am talking about), and 3. are more professionally successful than I am (and because of that, they also happen to have more money as consequence). But I couldn't care less about those things tho. Money does not motivate me aaat aaall, lol i am a very cheap person tbh. (its actually quite the inverse, people trying to fling money at me as some form of virtue... is like... urg x.x neeext)

Idk why so many here are getting worked up against that. Like yes, art school is competitive as fuck, and these paintings are mid. If you have some art education you can see it quite well that he is a mediocre painter. Most people cant paint that, but from an academic perspective, it is very mid. If it was good he wouldn’t have been rejected
