I judge his artwork strictly from an artistic view point: the perspective is lacking, with perpective points being different for almost every building angles, the anatomy is off (like in the third painting for example) and the composition is generic at best. The colours are decent, I like the palettes, but genuinely? This isn’t art that gets you in art schools. It isn’t awful, but it’s not worth much overall

Idk why so many here are getting worked up against that. Like yes, art school is competitive as fuck, and these paintings are mid. If you have some art education you can see it quite well that he is a mediocre painter. Most people cant paint that, but from an academic perspective, it is very mid. If it was good he wouldn’t have been rejected

I think his art is quite beautiful. And his skill is there especially considering he has had no formal training up until this point. That’s incredible. I bet the (Jewish) art school that rejected him feels kind of stupid now.
