Her doctors had her on antipsychotics.... Yes it has been established.

She had post partum psychosis, a mental illness that is literally marked by psychosis and voices that tell you to kill your children... She tried to get help, doctors put her on an insane cocktail of drugs that would have made a healthy person insane, she tried to tell them, they ignored her. Her husband didn't have a care in the world and was traveling around and going to brunch. She tried to get hospitalized, they took off her the antipsychotics and sent her home. Y'all are just dumb, and don't know anything about post partum recovery or healthcare.

Its often not treated with enough care. Possibly for sexist reasons since in most cases (UK) a woman contacting their doctor is much more likely to get no follow up.

Doctors wake up to the reality of post partum depression and psychosis.... Were they not before? I'm perplexed.

Yes but the issue is doctors reluctance to get people help. I know at least in the UK that women are not treated seriously by a lot of doctors.
