   People will always assume the trans person is wrong. That's how it works for them unfortunately. Hell it's the fucking reason the judge thought mentioning it was prejudicial and here people are proving the point by ignoring all the facts to say a trans women must dangerous enough to change a verdict or do bad things.

   To be more specific, there are no “male” or “female” genes, every human genome contains the genes needed to build either sexes body, but instead which genes are expressed and at what levels are controlled by the hormonal environment of your body, such that a trans woman born male but now on estrogen, progesterone, and anti-androgens(testosterone blockers) has a body that is expressing all its genes in a “female” way to make it easier to understand, their bodies begin building and maintaining itself as a woman’s with the same genome would, the reason some trans women don’t end up looking terribly much like a cis woman in spite of that is because if you go through one puberty first and your bones fuse and finish growing before HrT, they can’t just rebuild from the ground up, they do slowly change over time, but after they fuse the process is much much much slower and more subtle, so if you took a woman and magically made it so that her bones grew according to the so called “male” genes while nothing else did, XX chromosomes and all, she would look about the same. That’s just a limit of what the human body can do, like we can’t simply grow new teeth.

   There is the epigenetics argument for trans women on HRT for some years being biological women. Something about active genes being a lot closer to a cis woman than a cis man, not entirely sure, I am not a biologist.

   what are you on about ? there was no rape involved in that story AFAIK, so i'd like some source on that. also, the killer already attempted to kill trans women in the past. EDIT : after digging more : according to the court records, the murder happened after an argument between the two. they had been in a relashionship for over 2 years at that point. he then drove home, and left her to die without calling either help, or the cops. those rape accusations seem a bit far-fetched.
