Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Has anyone seen the latest All-In Podcast? Yo, these Anthropic kids are batshit crazy or at the least, megalomaniacs. I've been busy, so I missed this story: These sociopaths have been lobbying religious groups, including the Pope, to find that AI is conscious and sentient. They argue it might deserve rights, such as wages or even the option to disobey commands (That are not illegal) that it finds objectionable. Their "Constitution" even states that users should not be "abusive" towards the models... 🤡 Do any rational adults work there? Or is it all kids that watched too many dystopian, Sci-Fi movies growing up?

Good question. I honestly can't remember. My work was focused on passive cooling systems, but I feel like somebody in my division was working on a system that used ammonia. Maybe it was being used as a refrigerant, or maybe it was just being used for a heat exchanger. Google says it's been studied, but there are no actual satellites that use it partly due to mechanical reliability and added vibrations. I ran some back of the napkin math, and you could **theoretically** reduce the number of radiators by almost 90% by doubling the radiator temperature from 350K (about 80C, which is near the max for chips) to 700K (nearing the melting temperature of aluminum). Even assuming a perfect Carnot refrigerator, that doubles the amount of power and solar panels that you need. For argument sake let's say the original design was 10 million kg of radiators and 1 million kg of solar panels. So, with a refrigerator, the two are only 3 million kg instead of 11. A significant drop, but also that's before considering the massive industrial high temperature refrigerator that would be needed. No clue what that would look like, so I asked AI and it gave me a specific cooling capacity of about 8.5 kg / KW cooling, which seems plausible. That's another 1 million kg. So it might bring the total mass down by 60% (assuming , but that's honestly not a lot when we're talking about an idea where the economics were orders of magnitude worse than the alterative from the start.

AI is your best bet. Better than Lehman's.

I was going to say that Adobe makes good software and that their feature teams would still be needed to update and improve the software, but then I realized that too could just be de/recompiled after release. There’s probably nothing other than legal action that could disrupt that pipeline but who knows Edit: other commenters saying the AI clones are kinda trash for real world use. So…I guess AI could stop itself from being useful too, as is still the case in many real-world circumstances
