Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I mean the memory sector sell off is a result of Korea have an absolutely catastrophically stupid strategy. All of their memory companies decided, we don't need to increase capacity, just prices. Now China walks in the room and is like wait, so we can just build lots of capacity and sell memory very cheap? Niceeeeeee Now people are like wait, why are we valuing these companies that refused to increase their production capacity so high when their moat is literally just "uh we have a factory". And china is like "uh we are about to have factories". Because the Chinese DUV is going to be perfectly adequate for ram production at scale.

Im confused, so Korea's strategy was "don't make more just charge more", and now everyone is Pikachu face that China was like wait, so we can just make lots of ram, and then start selling it cheap? Their only moat was having the factories. Ram demand will remain high, ram prices, not so much.

Also all of our billionaires kind of gave China the keys to the kingdom by offshoring all manufacturing. I remember watching "Death by China" back in like 2010 and thinking how stupid we were to give up manufacturing power, now look at us. Everyone laughed when China was poisoning everyone and had smog so thick it would black out cities, but they have transitioned faster than any western country. Their industrial revolution was 20 years, ours was 100. Now, they are not perfect, but they are winning on the tech front. Their software is INSANELY good.
