A covered call just means you have shares to cover the price difference. Selling a call or a covered call are both fundamentally the same action.

@u/dol1_ you can sell covered calls along the way and use that to buy put options to hedge against a crash or just keep selling calls to lower your Cost basis. Thereby lowering your overall risk
