Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

Newsflash: Cables and connectors are not the same thing. Usb-c is a connector not a cable. Each cable has build-in chip for the AppleTM pro ultra max charger to recognize if it's genuine and can refuse to charge the phone and other devices faster if it doesn't have one. I'm not even going to comment that it took Apple a decade and being threatened by EU to switch to it but at least they did. On top of that most phones are charging at like 60-100W today, some Xiaomi ones are 200W+ only iPhone is stuck at 40W with their newest lineup, let alone older ones stuck at 20-30W. There are obviously other issues with the cables like the fact they are still just USB 2.0 for the cheaper models, because screw you buy iCloud, but those are not as problematic.

Protecting EU dumb laws like that are also stupid btw.

US (and likely EU) will never allow Chinese chips in their countries (unless they have a d\*ath wish) let's be real

It‘s not a bad bet. But only because openAI is acting like a criminal organization, and the government seems to sign off their actions out of desperation to win the AI race or out of corruption, both help their business a lot. If it was a free market, a fair competition, without industry espionage, then the US would not have such high chances. China has already taken the lead in AI models (probably only due to subsidies and running on losses, but that‘s the MO for the US as well). And being able to completely remove Europe from the equation helps a lot, but is a pretty clear case of corruption. At least the cards are on the board now and a lot of conspiracy theories and lies have been validated or thrown out. For example when the US sais AI is a matter of national security, and they have military bases in Europe, means it‘s clear Europe will not develop any successful AI models. I mean as a matter of fact my country (Germany) subsidizes data center of US corpos who do not pay taxes here. So basically EU and US are developing AI together, but the role of the EU is just charity, they‘re not getting any of the profits. Which shows why for now the US is a good bet, but it‘s not about their technology, and not even about their access to funding which should be their biggest competitive advantage. It seems more like their major moat is just crime.

But they're not operating outside of the EU, they want to operate INSIDE the EU. So they must follow OUR laws, not outside laws. Genuinely what is confusing you. Companies must operate to whatever the fuck rule we want, if not, they can fuck off
