I don't time the market, I play the risk-reward game. You are risking a lot here for very limited upside, there has been almost 0 positive news since June. Mkt didn't go down but the multiple did (PE/fwd PE). In other words, mkt still "lost" even tho SPY is ath. Equal weight SPY is red, it's only the AI and semis that are keeping SPY up. Eventually AI will get into correction, this is my "bet". SPY should avg 7-10% per year? A bond gives me 5.5% risk-free. why tf would I own SPY here? makes no sense. Unless there is inflation, but are you sure SPY can outperform inflation as well? It's only natural than one start looking at bonds. I didn't buy bonds at 2-3% but now it seems like a good time even for someone that is far from retirement.

Actually insane how that was 4 years ago, wow. Felt like we'd never see SPY at 400 again.

It’s actually a great company. It’s not cool, it’s not an AI play (although AI should boost their productivity), not going to 10x next year, but it’s been an awesome investment. Up almost 36% over past year, 62% over past 5 years and since 2000, up 512%… (SPY 473% since 2000 for reference) They are well positioned to profit off of the aging baby boomers in the coming years.
