Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I think it’s more that housing was grounded by mortgage defaults, which were a very real thing. Meme stocks are propped up by hype and perceived demand and honestly have very little real world relevance anymore who cares if Tesla has low production and has not been able to fulfill their development promises, it seems valuable so it is

They may be playing smarter now due to necessity, as they were absolutely trying for a while and failed horribly. They pushed Apple Intelligence hard in their advertising for their latest devices and it was not ready. They had their brief Tesla self-driving moment. How quickly people forget. They made the right call eventually for them, which is more than you can say about most companies trying to ride the wave.

I rolled them to Sept 18. I have big paper losses, if it keeps going down, I am in a lot of trouble. I know people hate Elon and Tesla. I am not selling. I am not buying these puts back at this point. I realize completely Tesla may never be this high ever again. I am too stupid to close.

What happened/is happening to Tesla is pretty crazy when you think about it. 15 years ago they came out with their revolutionary technology, were essentially pioneers for EVs, and actually made a somewhat decent product at an affordable price. Somehow they never managed to profit due to burning cash, high capital costs, and lots of R&D, and now fast forward to today and there are tons of competitors and china is pumping out better EVs at lower prices (Xiaomi, BYD). Optimus comes across as a pipe-dream, and tesla robo-taxis were supposed to be 40% of the vehicles on the road 3 years ago. Honestly extremely shocked the company is worth shy of $1T, but I guess it's part of the whole the market can be unreasonable for a very long time.
