Space based datacenters have a huge problem with cooling. You can't just open the window and expect heat to dissipate. They need really expensive radiators in order to cool, so unless Musk is sitting on some sort of radiator tech that is currently not in use today, it's a pipe dream.

It’s not just about tangible products but mainly about lack of income. Most of AI right now is a promise, not an actual way to make money. This is very similar to the dotcom bubble, where initial enthusiasm was far higher than actual growth of income. Of course today companies like Amazon really do bring results, but they needed two decades for it to turn into established sources of revenue.
