What's your case for that? I'm arguing the fixed assets of yesterday are dead and not returning. Pensions the world over are in their final death throws. The reliable buyers of yesterday were the fixed payment coupon buyers that had to provide a fixed amount of money for their retired workforce. Those are all gone. The other side was sovereigns needing dollars for oil purchases, that's in decline now. The world over is buying short dated 10 year or less notes now because they don't need 30 year retirement instruments. Govt budgets can't be balanced or grown out of if nobody is buying 30 year notes and when the sell side doubles there aren't enough buyers to drive the prices down. I'd agree with you that at some insane high rate buyers will come back but if that happens it isn't a reversion to the mean when it means inflation will be turbo charged

Buddy of mine has Carolina reapers growing in his garden. Hanging out yesterday he’s like “yeah they’re ripe now, you want to eat one”? I’m pretty experienced with superhots. It is, invariably, a fucking dumb idea to actually eat a raw superhot. The move is to chew it up till it’s basically liquid, getting all of the mouth spice, then spit that shit out. Whenever I tell people this, they get all macho and say “no way you gotta eat it”. Every single time, they become violently ill later that night. Buddy texts me at 5am this morning “I’m dying”
