   Best way to migrate a dynamic website to a static site? - I have a live website where some pages are populated dynamically through JavaScript/API calls. I’m shutting down the backend after the project ends and want to migrate the current version to a completely static site. What’s the best way to do this while preserving the currently rendered content, images, CSS, fonts, etc.? I’ve tried wget/HTTrack, but they only save the initial HTML and miss the content generated by JavaScript. Would a browser-based rendering tool be the best approach, or is there a better tool/workflow for this? update: I ended up using browser automation to render the pages, copied the dom and then manually removed all the backend js. not the cleanest approach and most defently not the most time effichent one but it worked ish

   If you’re trying to recreate this with CSS, JavaScript, or animation libraries it’s just not possible. Look up shaders. Using them is a bit complicated but if you find the right skill (and library) it’s easier.

   Most companies care more about whether you can explain your decisions, solve problems, and build something properly. I’d focus on getting really solid with JavaScript and frontend fundamentals, build a few real projects without following tutorials step by step, and do enough DSA to get through interviews.

   Option 2 is the usual fit for this case. The parent page gets a token from the OAuth provider. Then it sends that token to the iframe with windowpostMessage. After that, the iframe checks the token. Option 1 does not work here. The \_\_Host- cookie is HttpOnly, so JavaScript cannot access it. If you can, ask the third party if they can share a way to fetch a short lived token. You would send that token through postMessage. This is the simplest fix. It avoids any cross domain cookie sharing.
