I’m a dummy and sentimental for shit that had no meaning to me. I kept my grandparents’ china which had been halved in their divorce. However, I use it, not daily, but I do, and I dishwasher it, not a heated dry, but I feel like I’ve found a nice balance between preservation of cool old shit and utility. They’re plates. They hold food. It is their destiny. Far be it from me to keep them from their destiny.

Don’t know anyone in my friends / family group that got divorced who are millennials, yet. But all are in a marriage for at least several years to decade or more. The only divorce I know is my friend’s ex-friend (not my friend). I don’t know if that counts. But that girl was some crazy work (just from first time meeting impression, and then several years later after 2 kids, she is divorced).

Went through a divorce two years ago. She was a girl from my highschool and we never went over my Facebook history because I guess didn’t seem relevant? Well, I started dating a girl last year (mid 30’s) now and she had sat with me and fb creeped my old posts from back in 2010 (college years) and OMG the amount of cringe there was. Lmao 🤣 and we are still dating so already a great sign that I’m now in a much healthier relationship:):):)
