   DJ Cummerbund does some absolute chaotic mashups that hit the nostalgic spot hard. Same with the old StereoBomb.com. That site is gone, but all but one of the 10 they made can be found on YouTube and the whole series is preserved on Spotify

   Music festivals. Find one that suites your taste. Start at the bottom with the lesser known artists and work your way up. Guarantee you'll find someone new to listen to. That and Spotify

   I use Spotify so I’ll look at the other suggested artists for bands I like, as well as playlists and radio stations with songs by bands I like. I also will check out the website of the record labels the bands are on because the rosters tend to have some similar-sounding bands.

   Listen to music. I love music, but loved it most in my car or during workouts and hikes. But I can’t blast it like I used to with a toddler, don’t have time workouts and am cognizant that a lot of what I listen to isn’t for his ears. Up until 2023, I’d spend hours combing Spotify playlists or previewing tracks from “related artists” to find new music I love, now I can’t even get thru the albums from artists I know

   Pirating certainly helps, but I really like the physical aspect of media. I never stopped buying CDs, picked up vinyl as a hobby about 15 years ago, and recently decided to get back into DVDs and Blu-ray. I also never got rid of a single video game or system. I have a Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, five generations of Gameboy and handheld Nintendo, and every PlayStation from 1-4. I must have 40-50 games *at least* for each. The guy at the independent video game and tabletop game store in the mall said I was sitting on a fortune with how much of a spike there's been in people going back to physical media out of pure disgust with the subscription and digital dowloads market. I digress. I'm pretty close to having enough of a music archive on an external hard drive that I can dump Spotify. Getting rid of TV and movie streamers is next. I'm already not buying any new game systems anymore.
