Each point is a seven-day rolling window of complete UTC days; a point is comparable only when at least 100 analyzed posts or comments fall inside it. A day with no analyzed records counts as zero; missing coverage is marked and never shown as zero. The series ends at the latest complete analyzed day — it never extends into the current incomplete day. How attention is measured.

I agree, a women's appearance shouldn't matter when comes to considerations of whether she raped someone. Attractive female teachers are still rapists! I'm glad we came to an agreement!

First off, find your area's subreddit. Post "where do people hang out, preferably near [my neighborhood]?" Second off, I feel like you kinda glossed over the hobby thing - and I'm writing the following for not just you, but also people that ask similar things. So here's my instructions for people that want to find people within a hobby - or have one and want to leverage it to find their local community. So here's my pattern, taken from my hobbies (I have too many and need to cut one, honestly): 1. Find a hobby. Any hobby that you can do. You don't need to *like* it, just "Basic ability to do perform the basic actions" - A really *really* easy example: reading books - fantasy, classics, scifi, popular movies made from books, science journals, *whatever* - Example: Casual sports leagues. - Example: Magic: The Gathering - Example: Woodworking - Example: Learning an instrument 2. Get the cheapest, most basic, and easiest-to-use equipment that the hobby needs. - Books that you remember liking from high school. Current titles in sci-fi and fantasy. Whatever. Ask the worker at half-price books (they will infodump once they realize you are asking with sincerity and real interest) - Athletic clothes and shoes that work for the chosen sport. Maybe the racket/ball/whatever - 2 cheap Preconstructed Magic Decks and a handful of booster packs - On craigslist: a saw, chisel and maybe some power tools (circular saw, router, whatever); finishing stuff - sandpaper and a decent stain; some random wood - pallets, discarded logs, old dresser on the curb, firewood, whatever. - rent a decent instrument or purchase a bad one 3. Do the thing for a month. - (partly to make sure that it doesn't just piss you off. Partly to have a basic thing to talk about and ask about) - Read one book a week - Get active in the way the sport needs - jogging, working out, etc - MTG: fiddle around with the deck(s) and learn the basics, play against yourself - Make a bad cutting board, box, or whatever - find a youtuber that does basic instrument skills for your instrument; and music made for your instrument. make bad noise with it (musescore.com is very helpful for sheet music), and see if you can make pleasant noise as well. 4. Find a group for that hobby. Meetups, conventions, whatever. - book clubs are more common than most people realize in most cities, some with rigid schedules, some focusing on one genre or another. Almost every 'nerd convention' has some sort of event with authors and/or for fans of different popular series. - find the hobby-level league. Big cities have one for practically every sport. - nerd shops (known as "friendly local gaming store" or "FLGS") will have multiple MTG events per week - woodworkers have meetups to hang out and show off recent projects. If you have a "woodcraft" store nearby, they try to host lessons and so forth to attract customers - look for teachers that are seeking students, or community events for starting musicians 5. **show the fuck up**. Doesn't matter what hobby - deal with the anxiety. Whatever you have to do to to show up - get over the anxiety, get used to it, be anxious and show up anyways. *what. ever. it. takes*. - greet people with a smile, and when asked your name, say "I'm [name] and I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm glad to be here." - be consistent. show up enough that people wonder why you aren't there. Either twice a month or for every single event, whichever is less (or more, I'm not your boss!)

Freshman bio teacher: “It’s okay if you don’t like me - I won’t like some of you either. But we’re going to treat each other with respect and do the work.” I’d also never heard a teacher say they straight up don’t like some kids and young me was pretty shocked lol

I had a teacher, who was only just out of college, insist that this song was about Katrina. I think about her way too often. I hope she's ok...
