We eloped to Vegas with just our parents. We had so much fun and did all the things. Magic shows, performances, museums, and ended it with the When We Were Young festival. Maybe 15k? We’re Canadian, so that includes flights, hotels, a photographer, and all the stuff we did. We stayed in Vegas for like 10 days, so it could’ve been far cheaper had we not since Vegas is wildly expensive these days. People that spend absurd amounts of money on a venue rental and stuff for one day are insane. Who are you doing that for? You could spend a fraction of that with those closest to you, spend MORE time with them, create more meaningful memories, and move more freely on those days. I’ll remember some of those moments in Vegas for the rest of my life. I don’t know if I could say the same for a single-day event filled with a hundred people.

About 5 grand total. We I guess technically had a destination wedding. We went to Vegas and had it at a venue there. We had like 30 people come out for it but most of them came to go to Vegas and used our wedding as an excuse to go. We spent 5 days out there. The wedding took less than 10 minutes and then a bunch of us went to dinner at Outback steakhouse.

Long weekend in Vegas right before the housing bubble popped. Close enough to drive. Stayed on a cheaper strip property. Can't tell you how much. Perhaps $1,000ish?

18 years ago. We had our wedding in Vegas at one of the major hotels on the patio. It was beautiful. Then we rented out one of the restaurants at the same hotel for the reception. Had a nightcap party in one of their suites. Whole thing including planner/flowers/videography/photos was around 12k. We paid for it all ourselves as everybody in our lives thought we were having a drive thru Elvis wedding and strongly tried talking us out of it.
